We are looking for enthusiastic TAs for Control Engineering to help with guided self-studies and experiment sessions!
When to be available:
The schedule is not final yet, but it looks like it will be two hours of guided self-studies on Tuesdays, hours 3-4 (10:45-12:45), and two hours on Fridays, hours 7-8 (15:30-17:30). From week 4, experimental sessions take place, which take two to four hours on Tuesdays (hours 3-4) and four hours on Fridays (hours 5-8). Depending on the number of TAs and students, not everyone might have to be there all the time. Contact me (< e-mail verwijderd om veiligheidsredenen >) for questions.
Responsibilities:
- Answering questions at the guided self-studies
- Helping out with the experimental sessions
- Grading student reports and possibly measurement plans
Requirements:
- Must have completed the course Control Engineering at TU/e
- Skilled in Matlab
- Include a short motivation and your CV in the application
- If you are not from the EU, you require a work permit, which can take several weeks to get if you do not have one yet. In this case, you need to apply before August 1 by sending an e-mail with your grade list + CV + short motivation to Maarten van der Hulst (< e-mail verwijderd om veiligheidsredenen >). Other (EU) applicants can apply directly via this page.
- As of this year, TAs are required to get a "TEACH certificate" before they may participate in guided self-study. If you do not have one yet, you will be informed on how to obtain one in week 0 or week 1 of the course. Please include in your application whether you have a certificate already or not.
