This position is to be a Teaching Assistant (TA) of the course 4BC00 - Chemically reacting flows (Mechanical Engineering, TU/e). Your work will focus on supporting the instructors/lecturers, specially in-person and during the self-guided studies and the practical work from the course.

Requirements:

  • The student must have graduated from their bachelor degree at the starting time of the position.
  • The student must have already taken (and passed) the course 4BC00 - Chemically reacting flows from the ME department at TU/e.
  • The student must have completed the TEACH tutor training. PhD students or students with an educational minor are exempt from this requirement.
  • Note that Non-EU students need a work permit (TWV) to work as Student Assistant/Teaching Assistant.

Conditions for application (salary): 

  • 2nd year 60 ECTS
  • 3rd year 120 ECTS
  • 4th year 180 ECTS 

The starting point for the salary is the program year the students are in at the moment of application (2nd,3rd or 4th) and is not adjusted in between. 

As from 1 January 2025 the salaries for TA are: 

  • 2nd year € 19,70 gross per hour
  • 3rd year € 19,87 gross per hour
  • 4th year € 20,07  gross per hour 

The gross salaries exclude a settlement for leave days, holiday money and an end of year bonus. Therefore, a TA doesn't have leave days. The salaries are based the CAO and the TU/e conditions and are subject to changes.
