The 4th International Conference on Sustainable Building Materials – ICSBM 2025

On the agenda
The building sector is by far the largest consumer of rawmaterials and producer of manmade materials. From asustainability and circularity point of view, the effects of thisdemand can among others be mitigated using biogenicresources, smart material design, enhanced durability, functionalization, reuse and recycling, and the use of sidestreams (“waste”). The conference addresses this challengestarting from a scientific approach; building materials sciencebeing a syncretic discipline hybridizing mineralogy, ceramics,solid-state physics, chemistry, metallurgy and biology.Advanced characterization and treatment methods, togetherwith novel technologies and modelling tools, are vital for thestudy and improvement of the complete life cycle of buildingmaterials, from raw materials, to production, use andrecycling.Following successful events, the 4th InternationalConference on Sustainable Building Materials, ICSBM 2025,will be held in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, 10 - 13 August,2025.
