The finance manager has the following responsibilities:
- You manage the overall budget and play a big role in taking critical decisions. You constantly keep an overview of the different budgets in the team and develop the overall budget. To do this, you also communicate with a lot of the team members. Additionally, you create financial forecasts to guide critical decision-making for both business and technical related inquiries.
- You prepare and analyze financial statements and reports. Additionally, you conduct financial analysis to support the decision-making process. With these analyses, you also evaluate the financial performance of the team and identify areas for improvement to ensure InMotion is always financially healthy. This also includes financial risk identification.
- You monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity. You also implement strategies to optimize working capital.
- Bookkeeping and accounting; you maintain accurate financial records and manage the day-to-day accounting activities. With this, you ensure compliance with tax regulations and execute filing. You will use financial software to assist you during bookkeeping, budgeting and reporting.
- In addition to the day-to-day financial management, you are actively involved in shaping InMotion’s long-term financial strategy. Together with the board, you work on defining sustainable financial policies and translating the team’s ambitions into realistic multi-year plans. You also play a key role in preparing major subsidy and funding applications, ensuring that long-term projects are financially supported and that InMotion can continue to grow and innovate in the years ahead.
After a year as finance manager at InMotion, you will have a lot more insight in all things finance in a technical setting, something that should not be underestimated!
